How to Propose a Grant

Propose a Grant

As a staff member of District 129, you are invited to submit a proposal for a project for students that school funds will not cover. The proposal, which can be a collaboration with a community organization, will be reviewed by district officials and foundation volunteers. The A+ Foundation will fund: Computer assisted instruction; after school and summer programs; programs that will enhance and enrich any regular curriculum offering; club programs that will enhance and enrich the club experience; Artist in Residence programs to enhance and enrich any regular curriculum offering; tutoring and mentoring programs; student leadership, character and life skill development programs and programs that bring the community into the classroom. If approved, your grant request will be posted online on this website. Citizens can browse proposals online and make a tax-deductible donation to fully or partially fund a proposal.

When a proposal is funded, teachers will receive their grant as well as a disposable camera for pictures as the project progresses. At the conclusion of the project, please send the camera to the Foundation for processing along with thank you letters written by students for the donor. All pictures and letters may be used for Foundation purposes. No funds can be used to serve any political purpose.
